Here's how much snow Mass. got Sunday night

Sunday night's fast-moving storm left behind a winter wonderland for many of us.

Snow totals ranged from 4 to 8 inches across much of the region, with higher amounts in spots like the Berkshires (7 to 8 inches) and southern Vermont.

This storm was marked by a dynamic rain-snow line that shifted south and east as colder air poured in overnight, resulting in lighter accumulations. Southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod saw significantly less snow, with some locations recording as little as a coating to an inch near the canal.

Around Massachusetts:

  • Boston: 5 inches
  • Worcester: 5.8 inches
  • Mashpee: 0.5 inches
  • New Bedford: 1.5-2 inches
  • Newburyport: 3 inches
  • Haverhill: 6 inches
  • Holden: 6 inches
  • Pittsfield: 7 inches
  • Charlemont: 7.5 inches
  • Petersham: 8 inches

Across the region:

  • Narragansett, Rhode Island: 3.3 inches
  • Tolland, Connecticut: 4 inches
  • Glastonbury, Connecticut: 6 inches

Thanks to the fluffy consistency of the snow, it's fairly easy to move around — but you'll certainly want to be bundled up when you go out to shovel.

Arctic air is here to stay for a few days with a gusty wind adding to the bite.

Be prepped for sub-zero wind chill values Monday night and again Tuesday night. Daytime high temperatures will only reach the teens, but feel like single digits with the wind chill.
