JetBlue flight returns to Logan following mid-flight mechanical issue

A JetBlue flight bound for Denver was diverted back to Logan International Airport this morning after the crew reported "mechanical issues" during the flight.

A spokesperson from the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that JetBlue Airlines Flight 2393 "returned safely" to Logan around 12:10 p.m. The statement said the information is preliminary and that the FAA will investigate.

JetBlue said the flight returned to Boston "after indications of a potential hydraulics issue." The aircraft was taxied to the gate "without incident."

It's not immediately clear how many people were aboard the flight. JetBlue said a different aircraft will take the passengers to Denver.

This is a developing story. WBUR will update as more details become available.
