Maura Healey wants to keep her job — but she's got some competition for the gig.

The first-term governor of Massachusetts declared her intention to run again back in February. Since then, several serious contenders have burnished their resumes to try and sway voters to give them a shot as the state's top executive.

At the very least, Healey will face one of several well-funded Republican challengers in the general election. Two of her GOP rivals have experience in state government during former Gov. Charlie Baker's administration: Brian Shortsleeve was the MBTA's chief administrator and Mike Kennealy was the state's housing and economic development secretary. Also in the mix is former Abiomed CEO Michael Minogue, who in recent years has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Republican campaigns.

And it's not out of the question for a strong primary challenger to emerge in the coming months.

Here are the candidates who have said they're running for governor. We've also included the names of people who have formed a committee to run, which is a prerequisite step to actually campaigning.

You can find more candidate details at the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance website.
