Massachusetts gas prices: Tracking costs at the pump

As the war the U.S. and Israel launched in Iran in February continues to cause major supply chain disruptions, gas prices at home have been climbing.

At the end of March, the average gas price nationwide surpassed $4 for the first time since 2022. In Massachusetts, gas prices are closing in on that threshold, with average costs for a gallon of regular now at $3.95, according to motor club AAA.

The last time prices topped over $4 a gallon was in 2022, as Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine.
