An A330 multirole tanker aircraft, the same aircraft that is the basis of the Northrop Grumman KC-45, refuels an F-16 fighter using its boom system. Northrop Grumman is threatening to pull out of the competition for a $35 billion Air Force contract because it says the Pentagon has changed its rules to favor Boeing's aircraft.
