At the age of 15, Jorge Gutierrez left Chihuahua, Mexico to play basketball in the United States. After spending his teenage years more than 700 miles from his family, Gutierrez overcame anemia, poverty, and a hot temper to become a star on the California Golden Bears. Today, he’s one of Cal's top scorers and is keeping the team relevant in the PAC-10 Conference. Bill speaks with Jordan Conn about his Sports Illustrated profile of Gutierrez.
