It appears that the NBA lockout negotiations are no closer to being resolved; the league has already canceled its preseason and neither side of the debate has reported much progress. NBA commissioner David Stern announced this week that the regular season will be shortened by two weeks if a deal is not in place by Monday.

Joining Only A Game this week to discuss the key issues in the negotiations between NBA players and team owners is Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated.

This segment aired on October 8, 2011.
