One Harbaugh brother wasn't enough for this Super Bowl, and neither was one segment of Haiku. Here's Part II of Super Bowl Haiku XIX.

Super Bowl Haiku XIX, Part II

Hot San Francisco
Starts fast, gathers momentum.
Ravens quoth nothing.
[sidebar title="Want more haiku?" width="630" align="right"] We gathered so many haiku this year, they wouldn't all fit in one segment.  For the others, click here.[/sidebar]

Long kick, sailing, oh...
Catch it? Me? No, thank you. No.
I don't wish to die.

Cool, calm Joe Flacco.
Slick, quick Colin Kaepernick.
Sullen Alex Smith.
(Scott Suma)

Mwa mwa mwa mwa mwa
Mwa field goal mwa mwa is how
Football sounds to me.
(Natasha Neese)

Inside the helmets,
Breaths raw, hard, rasp, and echo.
Cloud is not impressed.

Kicked, the ball sails
Toward a man who will fumble
Everything away.

A star, curious,
Lights the torn tape left behind
For the hungry rat.

Clock ticks down to zip.
Twelve-pack is dead and cheese balls
All gone. Nuts all gone.

Special thanks to Mike Garth, Amanda Art, Clint Cavanaugh, Amory Sivertson, George Hicks, James Trout, Margaret Evans, Robin Lubbock, David Boeri, and Kassandra Sundt of our home station WBUR for lending their voices.

This segment aired on February 2, 2013.
