With the 2015 WNBA season just past its halfway point, Only A Game was reminded of the story of Seattle Storm guard and basketball great Sue Bird, who has found success throughout her legendary hoops career. The 2015 WNBA season opens on Friday. Sue Bird is set to begin her 13th season as a point guard for the Seattle Storm, continuing one of the decorated basketball careers in history. She has played on two New York state high school championship teams, two NCAA national championship teams, two WNBA title teams, and she is a three-time Olympic gold medalist.

This spring, after her appearance at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics ConferenceOnly A Game's Doug Tribou sat down with Bird to talk about her life in basketball, the loss that still bothers her and what she has to say to critics of the WNBA.
