Future NBA Hall of Famers Dirk Nowitzki and Dwyane Wade played their final NBA games. The Athletic's Michael Lee believes the farewell tribute videos and jersey swaps can be attributed to our collective desire for nostalgia in the social media age.

And the WNBA has a new logo. The new logo wears her hair in a bun rather than in a ponytail — and is not contained inside a box. Only A Game's Karen Given wonders whether a new logo is really what the WNBA needs right now.

Plus, next week the NCAA Division I council will vote on a measure to restrict rules on graduate-transfer athletes. If approved, schools would lose an athletic scholarship if a grad transfer does not earn a degree within a year. The Wall Street Journal's Rachel Bachman weighs in.
