Participation in youth team sports is down. A re-emphasis on in-town sports leagues could help reverse the trend by balancing out the rising costs and pressures of travel teams. The Wall Street Journal's Jason Gay thinks youth sports could use a reset.

Also, Howard University will have a golf team again — thanks to some help from NBA superstar Stephen Curry. Penn State professor and "Burn It All Down" co-host Amira Rose Davis hopes this will build momentum for underfunded HBCU athletic programs.
