Former City Councilor Sam Yoon tried twice to unseat Boston Mayor Thomas Menino in the same campaign season. He failed first as a candidate in the primary election and again in a runoff election as the christened "deputy mayor" alongside his once-rival, Michael Flaherty.

Now Yoon is leaving Boston for a job in D.C., in part because he says he can't find work here after challenging the establishment. We talk to Yoon about his political future, his nonprofit work and his reasons for leaving town.

This program aired on June 29, 2010.
