MIT Hacks Live On
Resumehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9B586ah_BE&hd=1
The MIT Dome dressed up as R2D2 from Star Wars. A mock moon lander on top of the dome. Even better, an MIT police car on top of the dome.
They are just a few of the clever, and generally benign, pranks that MIT students pull to flaunt their engineering prowess.
The hacks are hardly intended as permanent installations, but the MIT Museum has endeavored to preserve some of them around campus. Curator Deborah Douglas gave Radio Boston's Adam Ragusea a tour of MIT's Stata Center, where some of the larger specimens are on display.
