Boston City Councilors are busy people, doing the work of governing our fair city. On Wednesday, though, they took a break from the serious work to name an unofficial official cookie of Boston.

The winner comes from Haley House, a non-profit that provides assistance to those dealing with issues of joblessness and homelessness. As a part of its Transitional Employment Program, Haley House gives formerly incarcerated individuals the opportunity to work in its cafe and bake some of Boston's most delicious chocolate chip cookies.

This segment aired on June 8, 2011.
