Soul Meister Jesse Dee

16:14

When Jesse Dee was growing up in Arlington in the 1980s, he wasn't listening to pop music like most of his peers. His ears were glued to WODS, an R&B and doo-wop oldies station.

So what was  the result when Jesse first picked up a guitar at the age of 18? A soul-infused sound that's landed him opportunities to play with some of his idols, including Etta James and Al Green. His latest accomplishment is a brand new album, "On My Mind/In My Heart"

Boston Globe "Five years later, Dee is back with his sophomore release, and what a difference the passage of time makes. Where his debut was easy like Sunday morning, “On My Mind/In My Heart” presents Dee more fully formed and in control — both of his voice and his songwriting."
