Dr. Bohdan Pomahac is the Director of the Burn Center and Plastic Surgery Transplantation at Brigham & Women's Hospital, and earlier that year, he led the team that performed the first full face transplant in the United States. He began his TED talk by offering a sense of how revolutionary this idea really was.
