A Tribe Called Red, an Ottawa-based trio of First Nations deejays, remixes social powwow music with electronic dance beats. What we might call a "performance" of their music, they call a party — an "Electric Powwow," to be specific.

A Tribe Called Red's music has put them at the forefront of a First Nations political and cultural renaissance, and they bring the powwow to Massachusetts this weekend.

A Tribe Called Red will be performing at Mass MoCA in North Adams on Saturday, August 31st, and to the Boston Arts Festival at Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park on Sunday, September 1st

Guests

Ian Campeau, member of A Tribe Called Red.

Bear Witness, member and visual designer for A Tribe Called Red.
