Boston Mayoral Candidates Connolly, Walsh Try To Differentiate In Next Debate

With less than two weeks before the election, the two candidates in the Boston mayor's race are set to debate Wednesday night.

State Rep. Marty Walsh and City Councilor John Connolly clashed at a debate Tuesday night at WGBH. Connolly suggested Walsh would not be tough on unions because he has been a longtime labor leader. Walsh pushed Connolly, who is an attorney, to reveal his client list.

Both are desperately trying to stand out in a race with few policy differences between the candidates.

The forum Wednesday night is sponsored by the NAACP and the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Roxbury at 6 p.m. It will be aired in its entirety on WBUR at 9 p.m.
