Mitt Romney will be headed to the U.S. Senate in January, after easily winning the race to replace retiring Utah Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch. Romney was one of the strongest and most prominent Never Trump voices in the Republican Party during the 2016 campaign, but has been less critical of the president since the 2016 election.

Eric Fehrnstrom knows Romney better than almost anyone. Previously a reporter for the Boston Herald, Fehrnstrom was hired as Romney's communications director in 2002 during his campaign for Massachusetts governor. Fehrnstrom served as a top aide and strategist in both Romney's 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns, and we spoke with him about what to expect from Sen.-elect Romney once he gets to Washington.
