Spacey Appears In Nantucket Court, Enters Not Guilty Plea To Assault Charges
ResumeActor Kevin Spacey appeared in a Nantucket courtroom Monday, facing a single felony count of indecent assault and battery. The charges stem from an incident at an upscale bar on the island in 2016 where Spacey allegedly groped the son of a former Boston TV anchor.
Spacey's Attorney Alan Jackson entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf. Spacey sat silently as his charges were read to the packed courtroom. Television crews also surrounded Spacey as he entered and exited the building.
This is the first criminal case brought against Spacey since allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced against him in 2017.
