This is the Radio Boston rundown for December 8. Tiziana Dearing is our host.

    • As we brace for the first snowfall of the season, we check in with WBUR's meteorologist David Epstein. And we hear from Jim Stanford, he's the director of Public Works for the town of North Andover, about the snowplow shortage.
    • While employers struggle to fill empty jobs, workers are organizing and striking, like at the Museum of Fine Arts. Is there reason to be concerned long-term? Or is this just a blip on the radar? We speak with Tom Juravich, labor historian, and a professor at the UMass Amherst Labor Center. Then we hear from folks at the Museum of Fine Arts, where workers recently went on strike and are now negotiating a union contract.
    • Rachael Rollins will officially become the first Black woman to serve as US Attorney for Massachusetts. It comes after a fiery confirmation process and a roll call vote today — the first time that's happened since 1975. We discuss with Nancy Gertner, retired federal judge, senior lecturer at Harvard Law School, and WBUR's legal analyst.

This program aired on December 8, 2021.
