This is the Radio Boston rundown for Dec. 31. Tiziana Dearing is our host.

We're sitting on the edge of another new year ... a new year that's hopefully more full of hope and light than the last. And to mark it on Radio Boston, we wanted to bring you a conversation with someone who embodies resilience and triumph over struggle.

Huma Abedin is a longtime aide to Hillary Clinton, and her life story is complex. She went from a cloistered childhood spent in Saudi Arabia to the inner circle of the Clinton White House and then Hillary Clinton's campaigns. She also endured a tumultuous, very public and humiliating split from her ex-husband, former New York Democratic Representative Anthony Weiner. She's out with a new memoir — "Both/And: A Life in Many Worlds" — and Radio Boston's Tiziana Dearing spoke to her about it, and her life, at WBUR's CitySpace earlier this month.

This program aired on December 31, 2021.
