This is the Radio Boston rundown for April 12. Our host is Simón Rios.

  • You may have heard about Equal Pay Day, the date that symbolizes how far into the year women have to work to make what men made the previous year. The U.S. reached Equal Pay Day last month, but a group in Greater Boston says our pay equity day should really be more than a month later. That date is today.
  • To achieve the state's ambitious climate goals, we're going to have to transform how we get and consume our energy – fast. But is our electrical grid up to the task? We speak with the conductor of the New England electrical grid, followed by analysis from WBUR reporter Bruce Gellerman.
  • The Celtics won Game 1 of the first round series on a buzzer beater from Jayson Tatum last Sunday. The team will host Game 2 against the Brooklyn Nets Wednesday night at the Garden. We preview the game.

This program aired on April 20, 2022.
