This is the Radio Boston rundown for June 6. Tiziana Dearing is our host.

  • Boston Mayor Michelle Wu joined us in studio to discuss major challenges and problems now facing the Boston Public Schools district, including guns recently found in schools and the system's search for a new superintendent.
  • WBUR reporter Walt Wuthmann discusses his reporting on former state Sen. Dianne Wilkerson's bid to regain her old Senate seat and her enduring popularity more than a decade after she pleaded guilty to federal bribery charges in 2010.
  • MIT selected five winners in its inaugural "Climate Grand Challenge," including a researcher who used a massive trove of data to model the world. The researcher essentially created a digital twin of Earth that could help scientists predict how climate change will affect us.

This program aired on June 6, 2022.
