This week, Boston Public Schools reached an 11th hour deal with the state to prevent direct state involvement, at least for now. Then, the Boston School Committee selected Mary Skipper to be the district's next superintendent.

We break it all down with former Massachusetts Secretary of Education Paul Reville. We also hear from Ruby Reyes, director of the Boston Education Justice Alliance, a community education advocacy group.

This segment aired on July 1, 2022.
