This is the Radio Boston rundown for July 6. Tiziana Dearing is our host.

  • On Saturday, members of the white nationalist group Patriot Front marched along Boston's Freedom Trail, allegedly attacking a local Black artist, Charles Murrell. We talk to Interim Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden and former U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Andrew Lelling about potential investigations and legal avenues for local, state and national law enforcement.
  • We talk to Rev. Kevin Peterson and Boston City Councilor Ricardo Arroyo about how the hate group's demonstration fits into our national conversation about extremism, and where we go from here.
  • The CDC's latest numbers suggest that between 30 and 45% of American adults are not getting enough sleep. In our regular health segment, Be Well, we talk to Harvard Medical School sleep expert Dr. Robert Thomas on what we can do to get better at falling and staying asleep.

This program aired on July 6, 2022.
