Noelle Trent is the new president and chief executive of the Museum of African American History in Boston and Nantucket.

Throughout her work as a public historian in museums around the country, she has witnessed book bans and whitewashing of American history.

In her new role in Boston, Trent wants to ensure history is taught in the right way in the city and beyond.
