Each summer, Perkins School for the Blind hosts programs for children and young adults who are blind and visually impaired. We hear from Courtney Wescott, Perkins' supervisor of outreach for short courses, and former student Tom Geraci on what summer learning means for program participants and how it prepares them to live more independently.

This segment aired on August 17, 2023.
