Why To Exercise Today: 10 Minutes of 'Anything,' Says The CDC

Of course more is better, up to a point. And of course harder is better, up to a point. But it's amazing how little you can do and still get the rosy glow of some research-backed virtue. The ultimate of federal health authorities, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, says it plainly here, and I quote: "Basically anything counts, as long as it’s at a moderate- or vigorous-intensity for at least 10 minutes at a time."

Ah, the possibilities! I know a woman who walks briskly around the rooms of her (rather large) house for daily workouts. Many of us would get dizzy if we tried that at home, but I have to say, she looks great.
