Consider This Boston: Fishermen Ropes May Be Entangling North Atlantic Right Whales

Cape Cod fishermen say they’re being unfairly blamed for the decline in the North Atlantic right whale population. Those deaths are being tied to ropes used on fishing boats. After weeks of intense pressure from lobstermen, federal officials released photos of a rope that recently entangled a whale named Snow Cone.
