When we think about the victims of the child sex trade, girls and young women come readily to mind. But growing evidence suggests that thousands of boys and young men – far more than previously thought – fall victim to commercial sexual exploitation as well.
In Massachusetts alone, more than 400 boys have been referred to the state Department of Children and Families since 2018 over concerns they were victims of commercial sexual exploitation.
