After nearly a decade, a Wellesley native is stepping down this month from the country's top energy oversight board.

She's speaking out about concerns she sees regarding the board's future — specifically, that it's being politicized under the Trump administration.

Cheryl LaFleur has served on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission since 2010. She joined WBUR's Morning Edition host Bob Oakes to share more.

This segment aired on August 1, 2019.
