One of the films nominated for an Oscar this week is "Restrepo," the powerful documentary that chronicles the tour of duty for American soldiers at the Outpost Restrepo, in a remote part of Afghanistan.

The film, which is up for Best Documentary, was directed by journalist Sebastian Junger and Photographer Tim Hetherington, and it will be shown on the National Geographic Channel on February 2. The film features Army Capt. Dan Kearney, with whom we spoke last year.

This segment aired on January 28, 2011.
