French journalist Anne Nivat was kicked out of Russia last month for talking with opponents of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

But this weekend, she is heading back to Russia to cover Sunday's presidential election, which Putin is expected to win. She says Putin's opposition is weak, divided, and disconnected from poor Russians in the countryside.

But she hears from her sources that on Monday anti-Putin demonstrators who were denied a permit to protest in Moscow will crash a demonstration to be held by pro-Putin supporters who have been given a permit. Nivat fears violence may result.
