An escalating series of bomb threats at University of Pittsburgh has professors looking for alternative ways to teach classes and administer exams as some students leave campus.

The threats have interrupted classes and forced students to evacuate dormitories in the middle of the night while officials sweep buildings for bombs. The university has locked doors and instituted bag searches and ID checks for some buildings. University and local police, the FBI, and the region's Joint Terrorism Task force are investigating.

Guest:

  • Michael Macagnone, editor in chief of The Pitt News, the daily student newspaper of the University of Pittsburgh.

This segment aired on April 10, 2012.
