What a treat it was today to help WBUR host the BBC Newshour team here in Boston!

Owen Bennett-Jones hosted two hours from our studios, with the help of ace producers Golda Arthur, Lucy Walker and Paul Shuster.

I communicate with these folks on the other side of the pond every day because Here and Now has a partnership with the BBC that gives us access to journalists like Owen, so putting faces on names and voices I hear over the phone line was a nice way to spend the morning.

Golda and Paul were gone in a flash, headed to Philadelphia to produce a special Newshour show on Friday. We were lucky to have Owen and his famous red sox on Here and Now. Have fun in Philly guys.

This program aired on April 24, 2012. The audio for this program is not available.
