Another Grade School Mass Shooting, 16 Years Ago In Scotland

The school shootings in Newtown, Conn. have revived memories of another massacre at a primary school in Scotland in 1996.

Sixteen children, most of them just five years old, were gunned down in Dunblane on March 13, 1996. A teacher was also killed by a 43-year-old gunman named Thomas Hamilton.

The killings in Scotland spurred the passage of law that banned the private ownership and use of handguns in Britain.
