The members of the rock band Alabama Shakes first started playing together in high school.

Their music caught the ear of music blogger Justin Gage, and when he posted an MP3 of one of their songs, Alabama Shakes rocketed to national attention.

Now the band is up for two Grammys on Sunday: Best New Artist and Best Rock Performance,  for the song "Hold On." (See video below)
