Grammy-Winning Violist Kim Kashkashian
Her instrument does not get a lot of attention, but violist Kim Kashkashian does.
She just won a Grammy award in the "Best Classical Instrumental Solo" category for her album "Kurtág and Ligeti" of works by Hungarian composers Gyorgy Kurtag and Gyorgy Ligeti.
Kashkashian teaches at New England Conservatory.
She's also a founding member of Music for Food, an initiative by musicians to fight hunger in their communities.
