U.S. Considers Expanding Efforts To Aid Syrian Rebels

President Obama is considering options for expanding training efforts for Syrian rebels.

The CIA is already training some Syrian rebels in Jordan. Earlier this week, NPR’s Pentagon correspondent Tom Bowman reported on a plan to shift the training from the CIA to the Pentagon.

Bowman explains some of the issues and the questions over what's known about the Syrian opposition, and what the Pentagon’s plans are for assisting Syrian rebels.
