In Geneva, U.S. and Russian leaders are discussing the Russian plan to remove chemical weapons from the regime of Syria President Bashar al-Assad.

Meanwhile, on the ground in Syria, the fighting with conventional weapons continues. Some of the heaviest fighting is going on in the historic Christian town of Maaloula.

The BBC's Jeremy Bowen was there, with Syrian Army units that are trying to recapture the town from rebels.
