  1. Detroit voters elected former hospital CEO Mike Duggan as their new mayor.
  2. Dearborn, which has one of the most concentrated Arab-American populations in the U.S., voted in a majority Arab-American city council.
  3. A spoof write-in campaign for a 20-pound fish did not win a seat on the Ann Arbor city council.
