With all of the books that come out each year, who has time to read all of them?

That's why NPR arts correspondent, Lynn Neary is here.

She joins Here & Now’s Robin Young to share some of her favorites from this year.

From historical fiction set during the time of the Chechen Wars to a contemporary fishing village in Haiti, this year's picks span the globe.

But Neary (like most of us) missed some books. She shares some titles she's excited to catch up on during the new year.
