The Constitution calls for the president "from time to time" to deliver information on the state of the union to Congress. Traditionally, that has come in the form of an annual State of The Union address.

Tonight, President Barack Obama will fulfill that mandate for the fifth time. We look back at some of the fifth State of The Union addresses delivered by past presidents.
