"The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn," perhaps Mark Twain's most famous book, was published on this day in 1885.

We're marking the occasion with a rebroadcast of an interview we did with Here & Now's literary critic Steve Almond about "The Autobiography of Mark Twain: Volume 1," which was published in 2010, 100 years after Twain's death, per his request.

Guest

  • Steve Almond, literary critic and an author of short stories, books and essays. He also writes an advice column for WBUR called "Heavy Meddle."

This segment aired on February 18, 2014.
