2014 Boston Marathon Results
ResumeOne of the largest fields in the long history of the race is making its way from rural Hopkinton to downtown Boston. It's the 118th running of the Boston Marathon, the first since the bombings near the finish line last April killed three people and injured more than 260 others.
Here & Now's Alex Ashlock is covering the race today joins host Robin Young from the finish line to describe the atmosphere and share results.
2014 Boston Marathon Winners
- Women's: Rita Jeptoo of Kenya, 2:18:57. Her time is a course record.
- Men's: Meb Keflezighi of United States, 2:08:37. First American man to win since 1983.
- Women's Wheelchair: Tatyana McFadden of United States, 1:35:06.
- Men's Wheelchair: Ernst F. Van Dyk of South Africa, 1:20:36.
