CBS Finds Success In Thursday Night Football
ResumeFor part of this football season, CBS took a chance. The network postponed its most popular evening lineup and replaced it with Thursday Night Football from the NFL. That was a first for the league; normally Thursday games are only available to cable subscribers on the NFL Network.
The experiment turned out to be a great success for CBS, despite all of the controversy around the NFL this year. NPR’s TV critic Eric Deggans talks to Here & Now's Robin Young about why Thursday Night Football is working for CBS.
