How The Media Covered Rape Allegations At UVA

Right now, 86 colleges and universities in this country are under federal investigation because of how they've handled sexual assault on their campuses.

Under especially close scrutiny is the University of Virginia.

A recent piece in Rolling Stone magazine grabbed national attention by providing a detailed account of allegations of a gang rape of a young freshman woman at a UVA frat house.

The story shocked the school — and the nation. But in recent days, journalists have questioned the reporter's approach to investigating and telling the story.

NPR media correspondent David Folkenflik joins Here & Now's Lisa Mullins to look at the reporting surrounding the case.
