Marathon Bombing Trial Nears Opening Statements
ResumeToday lawyers for and against 21-year-old Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are winnowing down a final jury of 12 and six alternates to hear opening arguments in the case, expected tomorrow.
Tsarnaev faces the federal death penalty for the 2013 bombings, and there remains a chance that he might change his not-guilty plea to guilty, in an attempt to avoid the death penalty in the sentencing phase.
WBUR's David Boeri has been covering the case and joins Here & Now's Robin Young with details.
