Daby Touré is a critically-acclaimed African singer-songwriter. He lives in France now, a long way from his native Mauritania.

Toure's story is the story of the African diaspora, of a peripatetic childhood that exposed him to a cosmopolitan mix of languages, cultures and music, all of which made its way into the songs on his latest album, "Amonafi."

Touré spoke with Here & Now's Meghna Chakrabarti on Radio Boston last month.
